What you will do ...

  • Co-facilitate life-skills sessions (confidence, resilience, exam readiness, decision-making, relationships) using our curricula.
  • Prep materials: print handouts, set up rooms, organize simple activities and reflection prompts.
  • Keep simple monitoring notes after each session (attendance, highlights, risks, follow-ups).
  • Support after-school clubs (arts, debate, sports-for-life) with safe, structured activities.
  • Flag safeguarding concerns promptly following our protocol and escalate to staff.
  • Coordinate with teachers for timetables, classroom access, and small-group pull-outs.
  • Help with low-stakes psycho-education booths on event days (mental health, study tips).

You will be good at this if ...

  • Enjoy working with children and youth, are empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive.
  • Have basic facilitation skills (leading energisers, guiding discussions, timekeeping).
  • Are reliable, organised, and comfortable keeping short notes.
  • Bonus: experience with youth mentorship.

Supervision

  • Youth Wellness Coordinator (weekly 1:1 + WhatsApp check-ins). Daily touch-base with site leads

Key Outputs

  • 2–4 sessions/week co-facilitated; clean attendance sheets; short reflection notes; simple club plan per week

Safeguarding & Conduct

  • Police certificate/letter of good conduct and signed Child Protection & PSEA policies required before start
  • Never 1:1 behind closed doors; use approved spaces only

Success looks like

  • 90% of planned sessions delivered on time; accurate registers; positive teacher feedback; zero safety incidents.

Training & Tools

  • Orientation to curriculum; basic safeguarding; behaviour management; stationery & print pack provided.

Standard Requirements

  • Eligibility: 18+, good conduct/police clearance certificate, 1 character reference (former teacher, employer, someone who can vouch for you).
  • Induction: Safeguarding, code of conduct, role-specific training, site tour.
  • Hours: Typically Mon–Fri; occasional Saturdays for events. Schedules agreed weekly.
